Welcome to our Online Patient Center! Here you can get information about what to expect during your visit with our optometrist as well as important material you can review before your appointment to save time.
We want your visit to be as stress-free as possible. Our staff will do everything we can to make sure your experience is pleasant and convenient. If you have any questions about this information, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
What to Expect
Upon arrival at our office for your Comprehensive Exam, the Patient Coordinator will collect any information we don’t have so that we can help you receive the most prompt and complete coverage your insurance will cover. Please be assured that we are collecting only the information that is necessary and that we follow all of the HIPPA rules regarding the protection of that information. Next you will be instructed on how to fill out your health history on our iPads. These questions are required to be answered by your Health or Well Vision Insurance if you want to get the maximum coverage and will help us in diagnosing and finding solutions for your visual and health issues. Upon completion, one of our Optometric Technicians will take you to the pre-testing area where they will guide you through the appropriate tests. Most patients take about thirty minutes to fill out the needed information and complete the pre-testing. Upon completion the Technician will escort you to the exam room and prep everything for the Doctor.
The final thirty minutes will be spent with one of our doctors. They will review your needs and concerns and formulate a plan to reach conclusions and find solutions. Next they will review yours test results, fine tune the glasses Rx and the contact lens Rx (if you are currently a wearer), do a thorough eye health check, and order any appropriate additional tests. The rest of the thirty minutes will be devoted to explaining the results, a presentation of the possible solutions, and a discussion of the pros and cons of each solution. Once all of your questions have been answered, depending on your desires you can visit our optical boutique for any of your glasses needs or the Doctor will help you facilitate a contact lens fitting, lasik evaluation, or any appropriate medical testing or referrals depending on you needs.
It goes without saying that if at any time you have a question through the course of the visit or even afterwords, please feel free to ask. We hope you have an enjoyable and informative visit and look forward to helping you find solutions to all of your visual and ocular health needs.

The VSP exam also includes a thorough assessment of your overall eye health and screen for eye diseases.
Health Insurance – Eye Health Exams
If your visit to our office is primarily for an eye health issue (eye pain, red eyes, monitoring or treatment of eye disease), you may receive better benefit for plan to use your health insurance. For further information on our medical eye care services, click here.
If your health insurance is in the list above, make sure it is the PPO type. We cannot accept HMO health plans.
As in any visit to a medical office, your insurance company may elect to pay either all or part of your bill. In some cases, the insurance company may refuse payment. If this occurs, we will contest this decision on your behalf in an effort to re-instate your reimbursement from your insurance company.
Some insurance plans require a co-payment for medical visits. You may also have an annual deductible amount that you must meet to receive payment from your insurance company. Since we do not have access to information about your credit towards your deductible limit, we cannot predict what your actual reimbursement will be from your insurance company.
